Audience
Paula Melis, The Carers Centre for Brighton and Hove:

"Just had to write and say how amazing we all thought the performance was, I absolutely loved it and thought the performers were all so talented. You must feel really proud to be part of it.

"The young carers we took had such a brilliant experience and the look on their faces when they were watching said it all. Two parents contacted me the next day to say what an impact it had on them and how they couldn't stop talking about it.

"So please pass on our congratulations to all those involved in such an amazing production. Thanks once again for the opportunity to see the performance, take care."

Terry and Ruth Clarke, past Chairman and President:

"Congratulations on a really great show last night it has to rank as one of the best if not the best youth group production we have ever seen!

"We have been with the BHOS since the 50s and we are certain that this stands alongside some of the best shows ever put on by the Society.

"Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing it again on Saturday afternoon. Once again well done to everyone."

Nick York:

"Congratulations on a fantastic show I saw it last night that I thought it was absolutely amazing. In your sleeve notes you were kind enough to thank the unpaid taxi drivers for their help. Well, speaking as one of those please considered that any bill has been paid in full and last night we received the biggest tip of all, an absolutely stunning show. So thank YOU very much indeed from a proud parent who was totally amazed by everything they saw and heard last night. You and your team have done a truly fantastic job!"

"A fun exciting experience I'll never forget."

Kieren:

"Being part of CYTC's production of Les Miserables meant so much to me, I met some amazing people in the cast and the staff. I can honestly say that I had more fun in this show than I have had with any other. Les Mis was my first production with CYTC and being new to a company scared me because I did not know how well I would fit in, but it felt like I had been there my whole life. Everyone was so welcoming and full of energy, you could tell everyone loved what they did. Being part of such an amazing show which was so professionally handled by staff and cast boosted my confidence so much, I believe I have come out of this production 10 times better at performing than I was when I first auditioned. I can't wait to audition for Billy Elliot. Hopefully i will get a part and I can be part of this company once again."

Harry Hill:

"Les Miserables with CYTC was an amazing experience. It was the first time I had an oppurtunity to work with the company and from the off they could not have been more welcoming! Having the chance to perform such a prestigeous show in Brighton is an honour and I cannot wait to work with the company again!"

Finnin Harris:

"Being part of Les Mis was a great experience for me. I was one of the youngest in the cast but everyone else still treated me like one of them. It was a great singing and acting experience because it's quite an emotional musical. I would like to thank everyone in it and the Brighton and Hove Youth Oppurtunity Fund/Capital Fund."

Niki Clarke, age 10:

"I had such a lovely time doing the show, i enjoyed meeting new people and working with some fab teachers. i can't wait till the next show. I really miss everyone."

Lauren, age 8:

"It was too good to explain."

Jonah:

"Just a few words about Les Mis. I thought it was one of the best shows ever, not just because it's a great musical but because of the amazing and friendly staff and the support and caring of the group."

Anna Wheddon:

"Les Mis was an amazing experience, it's something I will never forget. I am so glad I did it as I learnt alot and met some great people."

Catherine:

"I loved being part of Les Mis, I made new friends and it gave me lots of confidence."

Sophie Yates:

"Being a part of Les Miserables was such a new and exciting experience. It is the first main role I have had and as someone who wants to have a career in musical theatre I feel it was the most perfect part to develop my skills in this field. It is a demanding and challenging musical that I am so privileged to have been a part of and an experience I shall never forget."

Ellie Sothcott:

"At first it meant walking into a room full of people I didn't know and singing songs I've never heard of before. After a couple of weeks it meant having a great time with my new friends and singing songs I grew to love. By the end it meant looking forward to each Tuesday and Thursday, seeing some of my closest friends and performing one of the best musicals ever in my opinion! By the end, Les Mis meant everything to me!"
