West End Workshops
CYTC is very excited to announce that Katy Markey will be running a series of workshops over the coming months with West End professional performers.
There will be one workshop a month and each will have a different theme, to include Les Miserables, Rock Of Ages, Spring Awakening, Avenue Q, Matthew Bourne Ballet and Wicked, with many more to follow.
Each month she will open the workshop to CYTC members before anyone else as places are restricted. The workshop is open to ages 8 – 18.
The first workshop will be on SUNDAY 26th FEBRUARY 5:15pm – 7:15pm with a mini performance for parents from 7:15pm – 7:30pm. Venue to be confirmed, but will definitely be in Hove.
This workshop will be themed around the iconic musical Grease and will be taken by Stuart Dawes, who is currently appearing in the West End in Crazy For You, having previously featured in Passion, Shall We Dance, Oliver!, Spamelot and Grease. Stuart has also recently opened the hugely successful MGA Academy in Brighton and teaches for many local institutions. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from a West End professional and the workshop will consist of actual choreography from the West End show as well as some script work and singing. For the last 15 minutes parents will be invited back to see what the students have done and then ask Stuart any questions that you may have about getting into the business etc.
The cost of the workshop will be £25 and sibling discount will be half price. Places are restricted so please book ASAP.
